Nuclear for Australia today launched one of our biggest initiatives yet, the Catalyst Community.
The Catalyst Community is designed for people who believe in evidence-based energy policy, science, and a cleaner energy future for Australia. By becoming a monthly supporter, members help ensure that accurate information about nuclear power remains part of the national conversation.
Regular giving allows Nuclear for Australia to plan long-term, respond quickly to misinformation, and grow a credible, science-led movement for nuclear energy in Australia.
Monthly support from the Catalyst Community enables Nuclear for Australia to have a multifaceted impact across public education, policy engagement, and movement-building.
⚛️ Building stronger public awareness campaigns
Catalyst Community funding supports high-impact public awareness campaigns across platforms. It also enables our Founder, Will Shackel, and our expert advisory group to appear on television, radio, and podcasts, helping to break myths and explain the role nuclear energy can play in Australia’s clean energy transition.
🤝 Engaging with decision-makers and experts
Last year, Nuclear for Australia's expert group visited Canberra to meet directly with politicians and answer questions about nuclear power. Ongoing support allows us to continue:

🌳 Growing a long-term movement that keeps the conversation going
To ensure the conversation continues into the future, we will support the establishment of five university clubs in 2026. These clubs help reach students with facts about nuclear energy, science, and Australia’s future energy needs.

In 2025, Jordan joined Nuclear for Australia as our Supporter Relations Coordinator. This year, Catalyst Community support will help us hire a dedicated researcher to strengthen our myth-busting, counter disinformation, and produce high-quality nuclear energy fact sheets.
