Donation Policy
Updated November 2025
Nuclear for Australia is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). We are not endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR), which means that donations made to us are not tax-deductible. We are deeply grateful for the generosity of those who support our work, and we are committed to managing all donations responsibly, transparently, and in line with our charitable purpose.
We accept both one-off and recurring donations through our system Nationbuilder. Supporters may choose to make ongoing monthly donations, which continue until cancelled. Donors can change or cancel their recurring donation at any time by contacting us at [email protected] or through the supporter portal. No further payments will be processed once a cancellation is confirmed.
All donations are used to advance Nuclear for Australia's objects. Funds are applied to our programs, projects, and operational needs as determined by our management and Board. If a donation is made toward a specific campaign or purpose that has been fulfilled or is no longer practicable, we may direct the funds to a similar purpose that supports our overall mission.
As donations are voluntary gifts and refunds are generally not available. However, we will consider refund requests in cases where a donation was made in error or was unauthorised. Refund requests should be made within 14 days of the donation by contacting [email protected], and any approved refund will be returned to the original payment method.
We respect the privacy of all donors and handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Donor details are used only to process contributions, issue receipts, and communicate updates about our work. Each donor receives an acknowledgement or receipt via email confirming their contribution, which clearly states that donations are not tax-deductible.
For any questions about this policy or your donation, please contact our friendly donor relations team at [email protected].
