About the Position

We're looking for someone to supercharge Nuclear for Australia's policy advocacy, research and analysis. The ideal candidate should have professional research experience, a meticulous attention to detail and facts, be a skilled communicator and have a passion to see nuclear power introduced in Australia.

Candidates living in Canberra or Sydney are highly preferred. Whilst the position is remote, you will be required to attend events in-person and may be required at co-working spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Stakeholder engagement including meeting with politicians, civil societies, industry representatives and media
- Authorising submissions to Parliamentiary inquiries
- Producing policy proposals
- Planning and attending Nuclear for Australia visits to Parliament
- Creating fact sheets, blog posts and stakeholder updates
- Monitoring and creating briefs of nuclear news and policy developments
- Creating/organising research reports
- Fact checking Nuclear for Australia's communications
Essential Skills & Experience
- Research experience
- Legal and regulatory literacy
- Excellent people skills
- Strong written communication skills
- Values alignment with the objects outlined in Nuclear for Australia’s constitution
Highly Desirable
- Previous nuclear advocacy or experience
